Monitoring the migrations of China’s anadromous eel-like anchovies

The OGFL has begun a collaboration with reseachers studying Tapertail Anchovies on the Yangtze River, China.

Otolith strontium isotope geochemistry appears to be a powerful tool to track the migrations of this unique and important species across the massive Yangtze River Watershed.
